A Pigeon for a Pet?

Yes, Leah has asked if she could have a pigeon for a pet. She's also just asked for a bird. I love pets, but I have to draw the line somewhere. Two goldfish to add to our menagerie is plenty for now. We just managed to get rid of the toad, so anything bigger than that is going to be out of the question. Oh, but why are we talking about pigeons?

Leah & I pulled into the driveway after church this morning & saw this in the front yard. At first it was walking on the sidewalk up by our front steps, then it started walking toward the driveway, & eventually it made its way into the grass. Leah was absolutely fascinated!! I finally managed to get a picture of it while it was walking into the yard. We rolled down the windows & just watched it for a few minutes. Surprisingly it just kept walking around the grass. We eventually braved getting out of the car. Leah walked down the driveway & on to the sidewalk. Pigeon finally flew away. I'm sure Leah would love to see it again. Me? Bye bye birdie!!
