Saturday was our day @ the pool. Leah slept in so late! She must have had a long week--she slept until almost noon! It reminded me of the days when I was a youngster...
Leah didn't really want to go to the pool, but I told her we might go to Hobby Lobby or the bookstore if she was good & agreed to go with us. (Really? I have to bribe this child to go to the pool?!) We spent about 3 hours there. Chris got a bit red. That's what happens when you sit in the chair by the pool with your shirt off & fall asleep with your sunglasses on your face. Good thing we have aloe in the house!
Leah ventures out into the 3'6" area. She does like to hold on to me though. Yesterday I tried to get her to float. She wouldn't let go of me. I kept trying to convince her to relax & just lay back, but she didn't want to let go of me. We tried for awhile, & then Leah wanted a frozen lemonade. The second break was when Leah decided she wanted cotton candy. I got a slice of pizza that Leah ended up sharing with me (although she wasn't interested before she got the cotton candy). We saw one of Leah's friends from kindergarten. She was taking swim lessons. We might meet them later today at the pool.
We did go to Hobby Lobby last night after dinner. Leah even brought her purse this time to spend her own money! She bought a cute little cardinal & insisted on trying to find it a "home." She found a pink box (probably supposed to be a small jewelry box), but the bird fits perfectly. BTW, Leah's favorite color now is red. I think pink is ok, too.
