A Trip to the Bookstore

Leah was a handful this morning. Maybe she got too much sleep? I don't know, but she didn't want to go to the pool today. I thought that was odd. I put in a load of laundry & Chris was ready for us to go to the pool. However, Leah had other plans. She decided that she wanted to go to the bookstore instead. She was pretty adamant about it. I told her we'd go to the pool for a bit & then the bookstore. But no, she insisted we go to the bookstore first. I gave Leah her bathing suit & asked her to change. She refused. Long story short: Leah had to go to her room to cry it out before she was allowed to do anything. I don't think Chris cared that we missed the pool. I ended up outside by myself for a bit, & then I enjoyed some quiet time on the computer. Ah... Chris finally agreed to let Leah go to the bookstore. She & I both got a book, & I also got Leah 2 new pairs of flip flops. She was disappointed that The Gap didn't have her size in purple, but we did get her the same kind in orange. Loved the extra 30% off the sale price! We also hit the candy store in the mall. It reminded me of riding to the convenience store when I was a kid & buying now & laters. They even had the packs of candy cigarettes! Nostalgia at it's finest...
