October Share Project

In 1st grade this month it is fall sharing. The share project this month involved the kids bringing in something that reminds each of them of fall. Leah was one of the first presenters this month. She thought about what to bring all last week. We were sitting outside on the deck this weekend & Leah came up with a great idea. There were leaves falling all around us as we sat outside. Eureka! Leah decided to bring in some leaves. She wanted to find a bunch of different colored leaves though. The only leaves falling on the deck were yellow! We decided to venture out into the yard in search of more colors. We started in the front yard. We found a few different types of leaves from different trees. We found a few leaves in the neighbor's yard & we even found some red leaves from a bush on the side of our house. Leah noticed that one of the leaves from the tree in the front yard was a bit orange. We also spotted a huge red leaf in the neighbor's house across the street! Leah loved that one. We collected the leaves in a ziploc bag. Before bed on Sunday night we sat down & talked about what Leah would say during her presentation. She actually put together some talking points after picking out 3 of her favorite leaves.
