Girl Scout Day Camp: Days 3 & 4 in Review

It's been a crazy week so far!  I've been trying to keep up with Leah & how things are going with day camp for her.  She seems to really be enjoying it.  I'm so glad!  I was concerned that she wouldn't like it or she wouldn't be able to make it through the long days.  No worries though!

Michele told me that on Wednesday, Leah decided to not join the other girls swimming.  Leah said she didn't want to change.  Fortunately, one of the older scouts decided to sit with Leah while they dangled their feet in the water.  Thanks, Kimmie!  I think Leah likes her.  We decided to run to the grocery store Wednesday evening to pick up some more snacks for Leah to bring in to share on Thursday & Friday.  We ran into Michele & Lena there!  Lena & Leah just had to walk around together, even though they had just spent the whole day together!  Oh, those cousins!

Thursday was the late night.  The girls were having dinner at camp.  The vote was for tacos.  No, not Leah's favorite, but she was ok with the fact that she could make whatever she wanted with the taco ingredients.  She told me last night that she ended up making a salad.  That was interesting... The girl doesn't really like lettuce, but it sounded like she ate!  They also made friendship bracelets yesterday.  Leah told me that she traded her bracelet with a friend named Skye.  Very cute!

Today is the last day of day camp!  I'm sure Leah will miss it!  At least we know she'll want to sign up again next year!  Today is the creeking day for the girls.  I had to send an old pair of shoes with Leah so she could get them muddy.  I wonder how muddy my little girl will really be later... Us girls don't really like to get dirty, you know.
