It's Wednesday, & Leah is sleeping in late again! Wow, I've got to put a stop to these late nights! I'm not sure I can handle it! I hear Charlie moving around in Leah's room, but Leah seems to be sound asleep. She can seriously sleep through anything! The other night she slept through the smoke alarm going off. It was nothing to worry about--I think Chris set it off when he was trying to change a battery.
Last night was Leah's 2nd night of VBS! We were at the pool for a few hours, & I asked her if she wanted to stay or if she wanted to go to VBS. She wanted to stay in the pool, which was absolutely fabulous! Pool water is so nice when it's in the mid-90s! There really weren't many people at the pool yesterday afternoon. Anyway, I told Leah we would have to leave around 5:30 if she wanted to go to VBS. Well it was 5:50 when we had to get out of the pool for the adult swim & Leah decided she wanted to go. We had to hurry to make it home & change. We managed to do that & make it to VBS by 6:30. Leah told me a little about what they learned, but she couldn't remember everything. She mentioned Baal & how he was the fake God. But she couldn't remember the person who told everyone that Baal was not God. Chris helped her remember it was Elijah. So last night I read a few chapters about Baal & Elijah to Leah. Then she wanted me to read about Luke. Then she got restless, so I made her go to sleep.
I think it's time for me to finish my coffee & get ready for the pool before Leah wakes up. I don't think we'll be the first in line, but perhaps we'll be able to get our choice of seats.
