Leah had a great weekend! She got to see Great Grandpa at the nursing home. Unfortunately, he won't be home for a few weeks, but at least he's getting better there! I think the best part of the visit was Leah seeing the birds at the front of the facility. She insisted on walking up there with each & every person to see the birds. Just in case you were wondering, yes, Leah has asked if she could have a bird. Um, no.
We were also able to go swimming in Grandma & Grandpa's pool. They were able to get a new liner for the pool & it was all filled! Chris thought the pool was 4 feet, but Leah was able to touch the bottom with no problem. She liked that. She did great anyway! She is no longer afraid of putting her entire head in the water! Seriously, 1 week ago today she absolutely refused to put even her face in the water. By Friday of last week she was dunking her entire head under water! She can do it with & without plugging her nose. I think she still needs lessons to become more comfortable in the water, but I'm confident that she'll be able to swim very soon! Yay, Leah!
Oh, update on the car front, too... I called Coughlin's main office on Friday & sent an email. A wonderful lady named Cathy returned my call & was as helpful as anyone could possibly be!! She called me back about 5 times on Friday evening just keep me updated on what was happening with the paperwork we signed on the 14th. She was fantastic. I am definitely going to write a nice letter about her. If only Couglin had a thousand more of her to man their lots... I'm not sure of her title, but every single person there could learn a thing or two about manners, hospitality, sincerity, & helpfulness. Anyway, I called her back this morning because she said she would have an update for me today. She immediately knew who I was when I called (not sure if because she expected me to bother her?) & she was still in the process of locating all of the paperwork. She promised to call me by noon today. I only had to wait about 5 minutes before she called me to say that my check for selling the 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertible back to Coughlin was actually with the GM at the Coughlin Newark dealership. Chris & I absolutely did not mind going out there to pick up the check. It's funny because the sales person who sold us the Sebring was the first person to step out of the building to help us. He didn't recognize us, but Chris thinks he figured it out as soon as we walked in the building looking for the GM. I have to say that the finance guy, Jeff, was also a nice guy. He apologized for not having the check mailed sooner. So maybe there are at least 2 helpful people at Coughlin. I take that back! There are at least 3--Pat Davis was extremely helpful dealing with Chris. He tried to get the car fixed, but there wasn't really anything their service departments could do. I am just very glad to be out from under that lemon! It's car shopping time again!
